Hummus with KORU® Apple

For a sweet/savoury option, add ½ grated apple, 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup, ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, and ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg.
Ingredients
2-4 KORU® Apples, sliced
Hummus:
1 can chickpeas (390 grams), drained, reserving liquid
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons tahini or peanut butter
1-2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
2 tablespoons lemon juice
½ teaspoon salt (to taste)
¼ cup pumpkin seeds for topping
Method
- Blend all hummus ingredients in food processor until smooth, adding reserved liquid from chickpeas until desired consistency.
- Spoon hummus into small bowl and sprinkle with pumpkin seeds.
- Yields 1 1/2 cups hummus.
- Serve with sliced KORU® Apples, carrot sticks and crackers.
