Ginny's KORU® Apple Cake

Serve with whipped cream or yoghurt and your favorite apple-friendly nuts!
Ingredients
Cake
3/4 cup (185 grams) butter
3/4 cup (175 grams) sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
3 eggs
3/4 cup (115 grams) flour
3 drops vanilla essence
2 large KORU® Apples peeled, cored and sliced into 16 segments
Topping
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Method
- Preheat oven to 375F (190C)
- Cream butter and sugar, beat eggs until light and thick
- Add alternately with sifted flour and baking powder
- Press apple slices into a circular design, thickly onto mixture till all is covered
- Mix and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar topping mixture
- Bake for 1 hour
- Once cooked, let the cake cool for 10 minutes
- Cut into wedges and serve
